RESIDENTIAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM

Come and join us to improve your essential English skills.  Our high-quality intensive courses prepare International and Canadian students whose first language is not English.  Our staff  adjust the levels of the various classes to the English skill level of the students. For an ‘immersion experience’  students proficient in English may either join  local students in a weekly classes offered in our Day Camp program (please view immersion choices at www.summeratstgeorges.ca )   For serious students planning on attending English schools in the fall we recommend the ‘Intensive English’ (July 1-29th)  one month program where our BC qualified teachers aim at preparing students for entry into Canadian Schools in the fall.

International Language School (ILS)

Classes for International students are small and friendly, emphasizing practical speaking and listening skills basic to enjoying life in Vancouver.  Our residential staff are sensitive to the needs and varying language skills of foreign students. The instructional program develops necessary conversational skills and cultural knowledge which is reinforced with daily field trips.  Generally, our students are in class half the day and then enjoy a full program of cultural and social activities during the afternoon.  In the evenings, instruction continues with a robust elective program that includes:  robotics, court sports, dancing, cooking, videography and various arts and crafts.
