(ILS)
Classes
for International students are small and friendly, emphasizing practical
speaking and listening skills basic to enjoying life in Vancouver. Our residential staff are
sensitive to the needs and varying language skills of foreign students. The
instructional program develops necessary conversational skills and cultural
knowledge which is reinforced with daily field trips. Generally, our
students are in class half the day and then enjoy a full program of cultural
and social activities during the afternoon. In the evenings, instruction
continues with a robust elective program that includes:robotics, court sports, dancing, cooking,
videography and various arts and crafts.
Students
interested in being fully immersed in English can choose to take some weekly
courses with the local students. This program involves all day immersion for
the students that are serious and looking for more opportunities to practice
their skills with local students. Students can indicate their interests
on the application forms. Immersion options are included in the tuition
price and there is no extra charge for choosing Day Camps. Please contact
the Director Patrick Dyck at pdyck@stgeorges.bc.ca for detailed information.
